Coachmans, Crockham Hill: A Modern Evolution of a Country Home

Coachmans is a comprehensive refurbishment and extension of a traditional country house, combining architectural expansion with modern, high-performance infrastructure.

Works to the main house included the demolition of the existing porch and construction of a contemporary double-height entrance, redefining the principal elevation and internal layout. Roof reconfiguration enabled enlarged dormers, multiple rooflights, and a new inset roof terrace, significantly improving daylight to the upper floors and central hallway.

The wider site was rationalised through the construction of new garage and pool house buildings, alongside reconfigured landscaping, driveway works, pergolas, and refurbishment of the swimming pool.

Sustainability upgrades include the installation of solar panels and air source heat pumps, bringing the property in line with modern energy performance standards while retaining its rural character.
